Celebrity Kitchen: Super Pick of the Week

My oh my, I may not be a fan of this country singers genre (sorry Country Music Fans… but this hairy singer has a true chart-crossing-hit in this kitchen!  There’s so much to enjoy.  You tell me who this CW crooner  is while we take a stroll and enjoy a couple of design lessons along the way:

Lesson #1: Island Wisdom:  Oversized kitchens can provide their own challenges….like…they’re so damn big.  (I saw that eye roll out there, but it’s true.)  If you happen to be struggling with an oversized kitchen yourself,  a great solution is the dual split island.  That’s because it keeps things more comfortably function and humanly scaled.  The downside:  It’s a lot of walking. And somebody has to clean all these islands and sinks.  Luckily, it’s not you. or me…”Lady.”  (that was a clue!)

Lesson #2:  Light Fixtures are the eye candy of the kitchen – I don’t care what you spent on the cabinetry.  “Through The Years,” this remains a design truism so don’t forget to pay attention to the fixtures in your kitchen…or to pick up that last clue I gave you.

Lesson #3:  If the eyes are the windows to the soul, the your windows are… the soul of your room.  Need more windows in your kitchen?  Take a lesson from this country crooner and add glass wherever you can in the kitchen.  The cabinet doors and the light fixtures.  This kitchen appears far more windowed than it really is.  So even if you aren’t able to enjoy it during the day while you’re working at that day job, remember….”We’ve Got Tonight!”

So…whose kitchen is this?
